Nine months since her previous release, Onitsuka Chihiro returns in 2009 with a double A-side single titled X / ラストメロディー (Last Melody). X was first performed at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2008 last August and is described as a hard and edgy tune fresh to Onitsuka. Last Melody, on the other hand, is described as a beautiful yet sad ballad. Onitsuka also released a statement thanking her fans for their continuous support and that she is back to health and can perform energetically once again.
