(as the sparkle lyrics seem to suggest). That's more immature than mature imo. Be bold and daring, but don't take responsibility for granted either, would be a better and more empowering message imo. The 80s idol era has its faults to, such as promoting a fantasy of a pure virginal girl, which likely may not have been true. However both eras have their strengths and downfalls. I think its wrong to inherently classify one era as being better than the other.
Are you serious? Her music has changed very dramatically over the course of her career and is still changing.(compare her stuff from the past year to her stuff from just a year or two ago; quite different.)
