BoA:
Spoiler:

Pros:
Seems to have more time behind it

Heavier promotion

DEFINITELY better packaging (Which crackhead designed Utada's cover?)

A bit more consistent with the current trend in U.S music

very marketable (question now is to who really...)

Cons:
Album title is a bit...blah....BoA....ok to the American consumer...."who the heck is BoA???"

I will never see past the Engrish

It doesnt seem like BoA had any part in the production of the album other than singing

the songs....

The songs are very cliche....and done...been there done that...it sounds like wannabe
Britney Spears

Too many effects covering up her voice x_x her voice has been altered so much it actually sounds like a synthisized voice @ times.

I cant remember a single track except Eat You Up (The lead single) They all sound the same
------------------------------------------------
The cons on this one really outweigh the pros. In this case, I'll buy a copy for BoA's sake in the U.S....but honestly, her english music, though a bit lacking in pronounciation, would sound much better with a natrual voice. She can make better music than this.

Utada:
Spoiler:

Pros:
Every song is unique and reflects a different side of her personality in this album

Lead single is a very easy to get into R&B ballad

Ever track shows off her vocal abilities....her voice in all the ballads especially has a
very organic beauty to it

Lyrically its genius. The lyrics actually have meaning to them, hidden or upfront and in your face

Grown up feel compared the atrocity of Exodus...sex is important but shouldnt be the whole song. This time its very subtle and flows with the story of the song

Cons:
Ok....lets start with the most obvious offense....what the hell is up with that cover. Its a very very beautiful shot of her....words, though plain are not all that bad....but it just doesnt show great....iunno...workmanship(?) to use the same cover for 2 releases.

Utada, are you ever gonna promote your album in the U.S? A little listening party at Sephora doesnt really cut it if nobody knows who the heck you are

The lyrics of her songs are very....abstract....not common to the U.S market.
------------------------------------------------
I already preordered both versions of the album. It is defnitely something new away from all the same old same old of current American music. Hopefully, her promotion team pulls itself together because she's almost there. The album is amazing but it doesnt really matter if no one cares.

I voted for This Is The One...lyrically unique, musically palatable, this is the one I see reaching the ears of U.S listeners and critics and actually making an impact in the industry....of course, from the Asian market point of view this Album really sucks and I doubt the Japanese audience is actually buying the album for the music...
