lol. The numbers may be low, but I would never say that I'm ashamed. What do we have to be ashamed for?
I also think its a little early to be blaming the economy for these sales. I don't think we've gone through enough of the year to really say just how much of an effect the economy is having on the music industry. Even though we've had some examples of low sales this year, we've also had other examples of artists that have done well and/or way beyond their expectations. And as I mentioned earlier, when I was there last month, the yen was actually very strong against the dollar - so the economic situation over there maybe isn't quite so dire. There is evidence in the past that the Japanese music industry actually benefits when the economy is weak. We'll have to wait and see a bit still imo. This album may not be selling well due to two other factors, a lack of serious promotion and a good chunk of people just simply not liking the new direction.
