For me, Exodus was a total masterpiece (and was a total masterpiece for me back in 2004, although I agree with the theory of people loving albums more as they age). I donīt know, that album was just so very well written, and she was really trying out new things and experimenting with new sounds and genres and even visuals on the music videos and covers. For me, it was an evolution on Utadaīs career and a key album on her discography. I prefer it a thousand times over ULTRA BLUE or First Love.

With This Is The One, she is playing more on the safe side, which is not a bad thing, but for me, it lacks that "power" and that bold atttitude that Exodus had. And honestly, if this was not Utada, and this album was released by, say, any other random American artist, no one would care, and I would like to see the reactions for it on the General Music chat. I think that they will not praise it as much as they do now. Just cause is Utada doesnīt means is great.

Itīs an ok album, but definitely itīs really below Utadaīs general standards of quality, and it lacks the identity that she is famous for.
