I know what you're saying. The chorus has 2 melodies present, as most of ayu's choruses do. But Heartplace is the only one that has both parts almost equally prominent. Listen to the recording and you'll hear the harmony.
You're probably singing the lower part. The lower part is slightly more prominent in the recording. The lower part is "We are free... We want, *we are free to* do anything we want. *ittai bo*kuwa nanito itsumade *tataka*undarou". Parts in asteriks are in unison. "We are free... We want" represents where the lines 'call' and 'answer' each other. in parts that are in harmony, the lower part has the lower notes.
The upper is "...To go anywhere..., *We are free to* do anything we want. *ittai bo*kuwa nanito itsumade *tataka*undarou". As in the lower part where the harmony has the lower pitch, in the upper part, the melody is in the higher note. This is probably the part Ayu was singing in the live performance.
Do you understand what I'm saying? I'm a very musical person, so Its hard for me to explain this kind of stuff without using musical terms and writing out the notes. If you can read notes, plz tell me, and I'll write them out so you can play it and hear what I'm talking about.
I also can't sing it for you. I don't think I can... maybe ... * long silence* ... did you hear it?... lol. If at any point this explanation became incomprehensible, I'm sorry. When I get into this kind of stuff, I'll just type away and ususally end up leaving out some piece of vital information.
