Also, do you think Ayu achieved such great international success simply by selling hard copies of her music? NOPE. I would say-- no, I would ASSERT-- that most of her worldwide success is owed to the internet and its abilities as an advertising/sharing medium...this includes offering her music to thousands of people who couldn't otherwise hear it. Some business exec in Japan didn't say, "Hey, let's toss a bunch of Ayu's CDs into a bunch of different countries and see what happens!" People started putting her songs online and the Ayu Addiction spread.
