lol, well, I think most himegyaru look like that, so technically they're not truly imitating Ayu or anything. Although the himegyaru look is often credited to be influenced by Ayu, I think that's only to a certain extent, and even though their style is big eyes with false eyelashes and big-eye contact lenses, it doesn't mean they always strive to look like Ayu. Because big eyes is pretty normal for girls to strive for, especially in gyaru fashion. For example, one of their trends is big princess hair, and Ayu doesn't do big hair very often.
(Although she has done it in certain ocassions, but not to the same degree as regular himegyaru.)

I don't know if you're referring to Nana-chan in Popteen, but I don't think her look is really that influenced by Ayu, because honestly, they all influence each other and the inspiration doesn't always come from Ayu! This is just the gyaru look!
