i'm bad at explaining things but this is what i got from it:
in the song she says "why are you running away from this, you should be true to your feelings" her running away/avoiding the water = her running away/avoiding her feelings. but in the end the water she's running from gets to her anyway. so i think she's saying you should be true to your feelings because even if you run away from them they'll still catch up with you (like how the water she ran from finally caught up and soaked her)
