Isn't there any evidence that Avex has a contract with JAL? We don't see that - I mean, we even can enjoy Ayu's latest music on ANA, when the last time Ayu was on ANA's in-flight music list for earlier this January (for the song Days, while JAL featured the song GREEN)...
Even earlier this year Ai Otsuka, another Avex artist, was on ANA's in-flight music list (January or February/March?)...
And I think right now JAL is focusing on Kobukuro right now, which was the artist who beat out Ayu's 9th album (GUILTY) in terms of number of sales, and is considered a competitor to Ayu, though their two singles released after their album 5296 has only reached #2 at most...
