I was actually very surprised to see a Quebecoise
singing the new OP of the anime adaptation of Valkyria Chronicles.
That's actually a game I had liked to play ^^

Her name is HIMEKA (http://6109.jp/himeka/).
She is 27 year old and is of French-Canadian decent.
In 2008, she won the Animax Anison Grand Prix in Japan.
Now, she is signed with Sony Music.

Although she is still learning Japanese, her pronunciation is wonderful!
People even thought the artist was a Japanese girl when they first heard it.
It's harder for her to speak for interviews, but I am sure she will improve.

I think it's very wonderful to see someone from Canada (Especially Quebec!!)
singing and representing in Japan!
