ok well i was listening to both versions of the song to try and figure out why i like the original so much more.
i think its because the cover version makes the song seem angry and aggressive, while the original is a hauntly depressing song. i just think changing the mood of the song takes away from it because it seems so desperate and beautiful the way the smiths do it.
so in conclusion i have thought way too much about it
