Remember,
one month ago I reported that Seiko's "天国のキッス" (Tengoku no Kiss) reached first position on most requested 1983 song on the HEY!x3 music TV program. They are having this mei-kyoku section where they show clips of old classic (1970-1995) music. Each episode they have a different year, and they ask their viewers to send in their picks/votes for songs. Yesterday (2009/07/27) it was about 1984 and here is the Top 10 (romanized by me):
- Seiko Matsuda - Rock'n Rouge
- Checkers - Namida no Request
- Akina Nakamori - Jukkai (1984)
- Gannosuke Ashiya - Musume yo
- Anri - Kanashimi ga Tomaranai
- Mariko Takahashi - Momoiro Toiki
- Rumiko Koyanagi - Ohisashiburi ne
- Masahiko Kondo - Kejime Nasai
- Issei fuubi Sepia - Zenryaku, Michi no Ue Yori
- Teresa Teng - Tsugunai
With that Seiko gets another #1 on HEY!x3. This just proves that she was famous and still is today. They showed a clip from one of her "Yoru no Hit Studio" Rock'n Rouge performances.
