Maybe her hand took longer to heal because she was doing all kinds of things, like making music videos and things? I remember in the making-of video of "Rule" she was wearing something around her wrist but it was gone during the actual video. Taking the brace off and for things like that may have slowed the healing down... Though, I wouldn't really know.
