And I was also thinking, often in romaji lyrics, if anything is in phonetic English, its often translated into all-caps in the romaji lyrics. Like 'merodii' = 'melody' and it'd more than likely be written as 'MELODY' or 'MERODII' in romaji lyrics. I'm not really saying that this necessarily is a reason, I'm just pointing out that its something I've often seen, and is a possibility.
