Ayumi Hamasaki’s future gravesite revealed
LillianTran on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 5:00PM
Uber popular Japanese singer Ayumi Hamasaki has thought about the future and bought a plot of burial land for herself and her family in Tokyo Central’s Minami Aoyama.
The land cost about $160,000 and is not very large according to various sources. An additional $125,000 was used for a high quality, western style tombstone designed by Hamasaki’s mother and will contain the carving “Hamasaki Family” in both English and Japanese. Now that’s some big spending for a tombstone!
The area of the burial site is supposedly top-notch. The grave site contains a few famous Japanese people’s remains and is reported to be located near Japanese Idol Noriko Sakai’s fashionable house. It’s also been reported that Hamasaki’s grandmother’s ashes were transported from her hometown, Fukuoka, to the new burial site.
It’s sweet of Hamasaki to do this for her family. She must be close to them to want them all to be buried together after death. Though, I wonder how much she and her family would spend on coffins… I mean $125,000 for a tombstone? I never would of thought of spending that much money on such a thing. But I guess if you have the money, why not?
