I don't have any opinions on the titles, if anything, they don't really affect my feelings towards the songs themselves. Although conversations between a fan and a non-fan would be pretty awkward.
Fan: Hey, did you know, Ayumi has a new song called You were...
Non-fan: ...
Fan: ...
Non-fan: You were...what?
Fan: Oh, just 'You were..."
Non-fan: ?!
or the other one:
Fan: Ayumi has a new song! BALLAD!
Non-fan: Oh cool, what's it called?
Fan: BALLAD! =D
Non-fan: okay, so it's gonna be a ballad. What's the name of this ballad song?
Fan: BALLAD?
