As far as her name, Tibetans usually don't have family names (I'm not sure about this in China. I know Mongolians living in China don't have to have a family name.), but have two given names, which both carry a special meaning. Dawa is related to being born on a Monday and can mean moon and Dolma I think relates back to the bodhisattva Tara, who's Tibetan name has Dolma in it. Not sure about the Alan part of it though
Maybe she uses a last name and one of those is her last name? I dunno.
