i don't think it's avex that would care if she lost her streak, but rather all other media sources. it would be in the news and on tv and all that stuff. you might not think that it's that harmful, but you never know. to this day people still use ayu's hearing against her ever since it was revealed that she was deaf in one ear. and rhetorical questions will pop up everywhere asking "is ayu over?!" blah blah blah
it's not like her streak ending would just go unnoticed. and they'll probably relate it back to matsuda seiko or something.
