I'll be honest with you, I really hate the term "insert." XD Quite literally ANY piece of paper inside a jewel case could be called an "insert," because... well, it's been inserted into the jewel case. The lyric booklet, the cover insert, the inlay card, even advertisements for other CDs that are in there... I've seen all of them called "inserts."
And in my experience, every single thing I covered up there HAS been called an insert at one time or another. But the lyric insert that folds is the only thing that's never been called anything else that I've seen, so that's the only one that, in my opinion, should really be called that.
