But as far as I know, she has always lived in apartment buildings (this is after her fame, since she refers to her manager), so I'm thinking it would be quite common to see foot prints in the snow outside.
Unless of course she means there were footprints ON her terrace, but I read it as meaning she saw footprints outside.
