i feel that by namie having an album titled "past < future", it comes off as being a little ungrateful of her own past. i mean, the reason that she is who she is now is because of the music she released in the past. whether or not she has any grudges with that should be kept personal. honestly i kind of felt like it was a slap in the face for fans of her older music. it's one thing for other fans to have opinions on an artist's music, but when an artist comes out and says "yeah, this stuff is better than anything i've released prior"--it's kind of like...i don't know. not nice. haha.

granted it could just be 100% superficial reasons and literally just be a title, i tend to read into things. plus with the whole ripping her own picture thing, it's kind of like "i'm done with the past"--which yeah, can be a good thing--but i mean, ripping up the picture of an album that sold over 1 million copies is just a tad bit unappreciative for my taste. :-\

again, my reading into things may not have anything to do with the cover and title, but that's how I see it. not expecting anyone to agree with me haha.

what is the defination of her past? after reading your post, i can guess its TK maybe she really doesnt like what he did last time (the fraud etc) and she just hinting that "oh thx god i have left him now" or maybe "i dont need the songs from the past (TK work), i have already made much better music for my fans" if thats true, it will be totally hilarious for namie. just a guess though
