If this were a non-DVD release type of thing I could see only performing for the fans that are there at the show, but way more people see the show on DVD and not live (or on tv as well in this case) and that audience needs to be taken into account as well otherwise the DVD sales will go down.

I'm sure any live concert is amazing when you're seeing it live, but once you have a recording and can put it next to past recordings/DVDs, it's easy to pick out the flaws. If you didn't notice them while seeing it live, it doesn't mean they're not there.
Anyway, that being said, I've come to terms with the concert, awful though it was, and I've even rewatched it a few times. I still have faith that Ayu can sing well live, it was just ... hard to watch because Ayu's always been a singer to me who can not only do her studio versions justice, but definitely exceed them while performing live. There's a reason I listen to Live rips more than her actual album tracks, and I feel like that reason was kinda flushed down the toilet with this concert, and I can't help but be apprehensive about this "longest tour" of hers that's planned for 2010...
