Actress Meisa Kuroki, 21, and the worldwide leader in French cosmetics, L'Oreal Paris, agreed to a contract on the 13th. This afternoon, L'Oreal's brand, "Face" was launched worldwide.

Kuroki had her worldwide film debut in "Dance, Subaru!" L'Oreal Paris's company president said Kuroki "has natural talent, and carries a beautiful and elegant charm." Kuroki can now realize her dream of working overseas.

The brand has, to date, used such Hollywood actresses as Penelope Cruz (35), Gong Li (44) and Jane Fonda (72) in its advertisements. Kuroki, who will now stand side by side such famous actresses, vowed that she wanted to, "as a beautiful Japanese woman, appeal to the world."
