Right now, Canada is 13 or 14 hours behind Japan. And if I count correctly, Canada is about 5 hours behind England. So, if she posted at 8:40pm Japan Time and it's 12pm where she is...
8.4+5= 13.4
I'd say it's likely she is in London.
It sounds about right with the temperature of 1C and that it'll be snowing.
