It definitely sounds like a mix b/w the low quality, the voice speaking over her and the fact that the sound of the song is low in general. Besides, the song could end up sounding completely different and polished on the album. Isn't that what happened to Sparkle? (And definitely 1 LOVE if I remember correctly.)
