Two of my friends got into Ayu's music too, I know at least 5 or 6 other people who enjoy her music at my school too. One of the teachers knows her too, because he lived in Japan around her peak, "SHE'S STILL GOING?" was his reaction, and I told him how she has her streaks still etc... he seemed pretty impressed, he hates Jpop though.
I've spoke about her to some girls (all girls school) too, and shown them pictures etc... and they mostly think she's really cute and pretty. The reaction is very different to what it used to be though - in English about 4 years ago we had to play something about us and I played an Ayu song, people laughed, while now probably because we're older, they treat it like any other song for the most part.
