^Yeah I think it was just the outfit picked out for the Coke ad to match the colors of the new Coke Zero. That Elektra outfit is

. The movie ruined the character for me. Kinda like Iron Man among others...

and also, you're all aware of japan trying to crack down on sushi making around the world, right? they want it made the "correct, japanese way"--and they wan't to make (or have made?) a certification process for places making sushi.
similar in terms of protecting something which some people might find stupid.

People have taken dances from people's culture and used it in movies lots of times.
Being part Native American, I wouldn't be offended. I'd be happy that a part of my culture is being exposed to people who didn't know about it before. It'd be fine as long as their not mocking it.
What about when other cultures do hip-hop or mimic the African-American culture?
It probably had more to do with them not heeding their requests to talk with them about using what is probably very important to their culture first, like you mentioned.
I agree with the sushi certification issue. They sell it pre-made in Kroger's, H-E-B, Sam's, and it can be days old just sitting there. I don't think the avocado is supposed to look brown, or the cucumber dried out. :/ Something definitely needs to be done about that.
