People say that a 7/4 signature is rather difficult, that's why few if any big pop artists ever use a 7/4 signature in their songs, but I think in saying that, it fits the song's lyrics really well. In the song it says a bit about going your own way, and so maybe that's where this signature goes in. That even if it's difficult, it's one way to go, and it can be fun. At least I sometimes saw it this way.
