^ It's not an e-mail that you would send - it's a physical mail from the address you registered with. A lot of things in Japan are that way, like you have to send a postcard from your address for several different services in order to confirm that your address is actually a real address in Japan. Many fanclubs are like that too. However it seems Ayu's is not or it has at least recently changed.
