That must be very terrible for Ayu. I wish for the best for her and Marron. I am so used to seeing that dog already, that if it's gone, I'm sure part of Ayu would be gone.
This reminded of the time when I found my cat lying on the ground, I thought she was sleeping and tried to wake her up, turns out she was dead. Cried for hours
