Been awhile since I posted in here (all the way back on
page 3!

) and my list hasn't really changed except for a bit of shuffling and the addition of artists in spots #4 and #5:
Top 5
1. Namie Amuro
2. Koda Kumi
3. BoA
4. Ayumi Hamasaki
5. Utada Hikaru
These 5 women, I'm pretty sure, will always be my top 5.
No matter what they do, or how they perform on the charts, I will always consider them icons of JPop and will continue to support them because I have an affinity for who they are as artists and an appreciation for their contributions to the industry.
And while I definitely listen to, and really like, other JPop artists (alan, Hiromi, JASMINE, etc.) I don't think any of them will ever achieve what these 5 women have.
