Western music does not appeal to me...
and I don't enjoy the somewhat trashiness of the western music industry...
I didn't grow up listening to popular music mainly just movie soundtracks... instrumental scores
when I became interested in Japan I found a love of their music
it didn't matter to me that I couldn't understand the lyrics cause for me lyrics don't matter all that much the music is what matters..
I have learned though that the Japanese generally don't sing about trashy stuff though so that was a plus...
For the time being I don't think I'm going to stop listening to Asian music because the wide variety of genres appeal to me and I never get tired of it!
