Anyone from Mexico who ordered RnrC Boxset??? :@

I have a problem here.

I ordered the RnrC boxset from amazon.co.jp
it was shipped March 12, Supposed to arrive March 16
hold and delay by customs in Mexico March 13
I called FEDEX (who carries the packaged) just now and this is what happened:

They said it's being held because they need and authorization or a letter from the...let's call it "the health department" or "food administration" (I don't know how to put it in English) but they need and official permission because of the gifts and tea bags. and Told me to write amazon and get some info from them...

And my question is WHY? and will the ever let me know about this if I hadn't called? The girl from fedex who I talked to, kinda seem lost and asked me all these questions that from my experience amazon.co.jp makes very clear OUTSIDE the package, what's inside, where does it come from and most importa the CONTACT INFO!. So why they didn't reach either one of us?

Seems like the package was just sitting there somewhere, probably with tea bags open and box destroyed and I don't want to think about the rest I'll complaint if this happens

So I'm bit upset obviously specially because I don't understand what's going on.

anyone from mexico had this problem??,
any word of advice?

Thanks guys! *I'm writing amazon and I'll keep this thread updated till my problem is solved.

(Versión en español)

first update: OK this is what happened (for ppl in Mexico T_T)

There is a new law in which says tat if I'm going ti import something made of cercamis I have to get a permission in advance so that's why they are keeping my package.

They said the didn't contacted me before because the info is wrong (which it isn't I just checked)

And they gave me 2 options.

1. I get the permisssion
2. I leave the mug and they sent me the rest.

Words can't describe my anger but I'll be calling costums and see what I can work out.

In Mexico the "gift" option is not available all packages are treated the same.

hate it.

2nd Update "the worse headache EVER"

Here the super dramatic and long story

I made like 5 calls to different people so they could tell me how this permission worked I spent like 50 dollars in calling cards (which here in mexico is a lot) and they said that in order to get the permission for the mug I have to do paper work I have to get this form and then write a letter saying that I won't do anything with the mug that all the responsability is on me... blah blah blah... then travel to another city to complete the permission then I have to send all this paper work to the costums where my package is being held and then it will be free.

the thing is that ceramic items contains "Lead" so if I'm ordering ceramics I have to ask the permission. Is a health department thingy.

Of course fedex failed to contact me since the 13th and just today I talked to the right person about my problem and he said that I have 3 options:

I could let go of the package (so they will destroy it or something) I could let go of the mug or I could return the package to amazon. I chose the last one and they said that if amazon dosen't allow it then it will be destroyed because then can't hold it no more.

I just wrote to amazon explained that I had to return it in advance and that I hope I could get some amazon credit because I don't want it incomplete and neither destroyed :s.

fedex told me that they will call me tomorrow and tell me the faith of my RnrC pakcage.... u_u

Update:

The package was sent to japan. Now I have to wait for amazon to end their investigation... (u_u)
