You do have a point, but I can't stress enough how little iTunes matters in the Japanese music world. In Japan, mobile sales are preferred to PC sales, and even when only looking at PC sales, iTunes only makes up for 10% of total sales. Really, it's only a tiny portion.
But you ARE right that Johnny's doesn't release chaku uta-full songs. So if their fans want the entire song, they're going to have to buy the physical CD, giving them an easy advantage. In my opinion, it's a cheap way to make your artists seem much more popular than they are.
