In 2007 she made 3.8 million USD. Before that she had made up to 42 million USD in her career alone. Doesn't make her the richest but she certainly isn't broke.
No way she's been arrested. GD actually wrote/composed a song that was plagiarized and he got nowhere near a cell.
This doesn't seem to have affected her much either though. She's still promoting and people are still asking her to be on shows. Last time she stopped all promotions and went into hiding. The only difference between this time and last time is the singer was bigger, less songs were involved, and the song accused was the lead promotion track.
