Nowadays, hmv carries only local version, the remaining japan version on shelves are their previous stock. They only bring in very little japan press, mostly johnny's stuff now.

Previously:

firstly, they won't import CD+DVD version because of region code 2. They have problems in the past. There are too many customers who just buy them without checking if they are able to play, but they can't get a refund either, coz it's not faulty, this is the the buyers' fault.

But if HMV were to take back the cd, they can't resell it nor send back to Japan, as Japan only accept sealed item.

That's why they don't carry any Japan version with DVD, but if you really want, i think you can plqce an order with them, and they will order from Japan for you.

Secondly:
the box set is limited, hmv normally don't sell that. Even if they do, it will be MORE expensive then buying online.

Thirdly;
there's tea in the box set, hmv japan don't even ship items with food out, and hmv gets their stock through their main office in Japan. so moreover it won't be imported to Singapore
