In my opinion, Christina Aguilera's music has always been about exploring the whole spectrum of human sexuality, from dirrty sex to teasing seduction (Genie in a Bottle) to the heights of pure love, so a return to this kind of image isn't surprising at all. Or a bad thing.
Like I said, I don't mind in your face sexuality so long as I know the artist knows what she is doing. Some artists just come across as dumb bimbos who have no idea about the politics of sex. Christina Aguilera is not one of those artists.
By the way, the Not Myself Tonight video is only referencing Madonna's video work. I think it's more about Christina's musical ambitions rather than just a "oh look at me, sex, sex, sex" type of thing.
