I think these votes have a lot to do with their songs. Kimura Kaela is now no. 1 because her wedding song Butterfly is one of the most popular of last year, and both Hamasaki Ayumi and Namie Amuro had a massive "wedding-themed" hit (M and Can you Celebrate?).
