I think people just like something to look forward to. I don't think the covers themselves are the big deal. It's kind of like.... wait for release announcement -> wait for preorders -> wait for previews -> wait for covers -> wait for leaks -> wait for release date -> wait for first day/week sales -> discuss -> wait for new release announcement.
It's a cycle of waiting and anticipating and it's just what fans do. So no, the covers are not the big deal, the waiting is lol.

To be honest, I think they were just trying to get a responce from Ayu
I'm sure fans will ask her anything to get her attention, no big deal. No reason to be upset because people asked her about covers - aka something relevent to her work. If people asked her her bra size???
