Only for comparison, Aoyama Thelma's Soba ni iru ne through different digital formats sold 8.7 million, GreeeeN's Kiseki just in Chaku uta full sold 2.3 million, and Flavor of Life 7.7 million all together... I was kind of hoping Sunrise was not on par but at least sort of up there, like at least at a million in Chaku uta full.
But what I don't get is how she has all of these accomplishments in Chaku uta, like #3 best selling artist of the year or something like that? I'm guessing a big part of her songs including album tracks sell a decent, moderate amount and all together they're a success in collective sales...?
I hope she can sell well digitally too with this single.

Well, those are definite hit artists. But that doesn't always mean that much. Aoyama Thelma failed and failed hard after Soba ni Iru ne. The other two are very popular, yeah, but the reason Ayu still does better is because of catalog sales. She has SO many different songs available and people will constantly pick them up. Even if they don't appear on the chart they will constantly be brewing under there, slowly selling. And that adds up ; P
