It's probably just plain old marketing. Lumping the 48-50th singles together and calling it a project will get everyone hyped up and ensure sales for the 48th and 49th. Those 2 are the cruxes when it comes to whether she can break the record, not the 50th. 50th is THE big one, people will get that for collection's sake, 48 and 49 don't have that push. Which is probably why avex is making them ride on the 50th's wave with this project.
