Johnny's Jr. units A.B.C-Z and Kis-My-Ft2 will jointly star in the musical "Shonentachi: Koushi Naki Rougoku," it has been announced. This will be the first time that the "Shonentachi" musical is performed since 1993.
"Shonentachi," written and directed by Johnny's Jimusho president Johnny Kitagawa, is a story about a group of young men at a reform school. It was first performed by the four-member group Johnny's (the first boy band represented by Johnny's Jimusho) in 1965, and it was later remade starring SMAP in 1993. This time, the five members of A.B.C-Z and the seven members of Kis-My-Ft2 will be playing the main characters.
"Shonentachi" will be performed at Tokyo's Nissay Theatre from September 3 to September 26.
