im excited for the american debut because, i dont know anything about se7en,BoA, or Utadas attempts but you have to look at whats "in" right now, 2ne1s style of music is very in in the U.S. My best friend and my sister who both dont like my Asia pop (to the point of rudeness) actually like 2ne1s music (and G-dragon oddly enough
). plus they are working with Will.i.am who is pretty popular over here with the black eyed peas, especially in the past couple of years, him alone working with them is enough to rouse at least a little interest. i dont know about se7en but Utada and BoA at least at the time did not make the kind of music people were interested in here, the only people who got their albums were the hardcore BoA and Utada fans in the U.S. The flops could also be due to lack of promotion, i dont know. i think that with 2ne1s style (musical and fashion)+ working with Will.i.am+ good promotion= they could be successfull in the U.S. Im not gunna say popular, because i dont know but i think they could sell more than the others who tried to come here
