I compared the two a while back and also noticed that the coloring of the palace was different. I forgot which was which, but one version was more gold and the other more blue.

it looks like they also retouched the color. the palace is much more of a blue color in the alternate PV and much more brown on the MA DVD.

I would so love to know why they made these changes, especially some the TV version sequence is way better!
