so...

A. ayu's parents got married, the father's last name was hamasaki, they all took it, and after getting divorced, they never changed it back.

or

B. ayu's parents got married, the father's last name is unknown, they all took it, and after getting divorced the mother decided to go back to her maiden name and change ayu's to hamasaki as well.
