I finally went to the Past Future tour tonight.

I have to say, of the three times I've seen Namie (Best Fiction and Play tour), this one was my favorite! Her voice tonight was excellent, she was rarely out of breath, the ballads were perfect and she only had one instance where she pulled the mic so far away that you couldn't hear her.
I also thought that the choreography was a step up from her last couple of tours. Ever since 2006 I've felt that her choreography hasn't been as good as it once was; it still wasn't as good as pre-2006 level, but it was an improvement.
Also, she seems to really prefer performing in halls to big arenas. I've always noticed this on her tour dvds that she seems more comfortable with smaller audiences; maybe she likes the closeness of the halls because her energy shined through much more than it did when I saw her on the Best Fiction tour.
Now for those who liked the Best Fiction tour because of its grandeur, stage, props, etc, this tour might be a disappointment. It is a much smaller scale and I would say even smaller scale than the Play stage. More along the lines of Space of Hip Pop overall in terms of the scale. BUT, for me, that just meant less distraction from what Namie does best - non-stop singing and dancing.
