She didn't do it last year either, I believe.

Well, there's no guarantees. Especially the concern about Arashi hosting for the white team with possibility of six Johnny's artists coming this year, I'd like her to just skip Kouhaku this year and get busy with CDL, because:
- The Kouhaku could be too much biased with Johnny's this year.
- Ayu is still in Los Angeles (said that she could be staying in LA for another couple of weeks, spending Thanksgiving and possibly skipping FNS also), and she could get tired from her trip from all that jet lag.
- She still needs CDL practice, but with the fact that she's still in LA, it might be late, and if she goes to the Kouhaku, she might get tired out.
That's my prediction, but it does not necessarily mean that she's not going to the Kouhaku; we'll just have to see within a couple of weeks whether or not Ayu's going to the Kouhaku, but I'm saying that it's also doubtful for Ayu to attend this year's FNS and it could be possible she could be skipping it for the second year in a row because she's too busy and she could be on a different strategy.
