I live in San Diego too! I'm planning to take the Amtrak Surfliner up to Union Station, then, depending on the distance, take a cab to the hotel. If you want, we can meet up at the train station! It's only like $25-$30 a ticket. I use it ALL the time. I'm planning to bring up my laptop which has Arena Tour '07, '08, and '09 as well CDLs from '07-'08, '08-'09, and '09-'10 since I'd love to get everyone to do the "My All" or "Red Line" dance for her ^^;
Since she's usually done with her schedual around the evening, I was planning to leave SD around 11:00am or 12:00pm, and arrive in LA around 2:00pm - 3pm-ish so I can maybe meet up with my friends who live up in LA. If they can, they're gonna take me to get flowers and a gift for her. It would be less boreing with someone to take the 2.5 hours train ride with! ^^;
Ashley, I just looked up Surfliner times, and I'm going to be taking the 10:35am train to Union Station LA (LAX on the Amtrak site), which has an ETA of 1:15pm.
