I can see your point. Humans (including myself) are bound to be collectors. Everyone collects stuff (shells under the sea, stamps, artists' merchandises, etc.). As you grow older tho we figure out that lots of stuff are technically useless. I'm not convincing you to stop buying ayu cds, but when you have to spend your money on other important needs, you have to do what you should do first. You don't have to feel bad. Skipping an album or so doesn't make you a bad fan.
I'm kinda glad that I'm never a collector for ayu or hikki or other artist who I love. The power of desire will be humongous. I can see that if I was one, whenever ayu releases something, I would have to order every version immediately, or else I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, and my heart would be in contracting for every few seconds...
